The Elementary “Children’s Choice” Art Show will be up from May 8th to May 22nd. Come by and see the children’s masterpieces during school hours.
This week elementary students in the sixth grade are experiencing nature field science at Olympic National Park, WA. The five day program includes study of the rain forest lake, and coastal ecosystems in this remarkable park.

Wildlife viewing was excellent at Brazos Bend State Park. A group of young elementary students spent the day exploring the Brazos River ecosystem. Many alligators were spotted along with creatures great and small. Perhaps there are future wildlife biologists in this group.
Eight of the older elementary students went to the Holocaust Museum earlier this month. Prior to the trip they read the book “Number the Stars”. It wasn’t a happy trip, but a necessary one. They went on this trip to remember, to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. And… read more →
Just a reminder to sign up for parent-teacher conferences! Conferences will be held on Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2. There is no school; however, there is regular HER on both days.
A big THANK YOU to the parents that participated in the Parent Work Day on April 13. Much was accomplished in freshening up the gardens, classrooms, and outdoor play area.
