Bay Area Montessori House is celebrating its 25th year of offering authentic AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Montessori to the Clear Lake area this fall.
Our beautiful prepared environments and our highly qualified teachers ensure that your child receives an authentic Montessori experience. These unique environments, indoors and out, are where children are free to respond to their natural curiosity and desire to learn and grow. Through hands-on Montessori materials children gain a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of language, math, history, geography, all sciences, the arts and more. They not only learn the answers, they learn how they got there and its relationship to everything else. Montessori children learn by doing, and become good at doing things. At BAMH each child receives individualized instruction allowing them to go as far and as fast as they can in each subject area. The multi-aged groupings of children allow for a family atmosphere where a caring attitude naturally arises between one another and the environment. When a child’s natural curiosity leads him or her to explore a lesson beyond its initial design the child is able to go beyond the walls of the classroom to satisfy that curiosity. A strong “going out” program (child initiated research trips) is a natural part of the elementary prepared environment.
At BAMH children become more independent, confident, self-motivated, and respectful of others. Our students develop a responsibility toward the environment, think creatively or “outside of the box” and come to love school. In essence BAMH engages the whole child–not just academically but also socially, emotionally and physically. It is truly education for life. It is no coincidence that this unique method that gave the world Sergey Brin and Larry Page (founders of Google), Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), Will Wright (creator of Sim City), Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Nobel Prize winner for literature), Princes William and Harry, Melissa and Sarah Gilbert (actors), Katherine Graham (owner/editor of the Washington Post) and many others.
You can have that same Montessori education for your child. We are currently taking registrations for the 2013-2014 school year.
